I hope you had a beautiful, fun, relaxing 4th of July weekend. Our Chief Happiness Officer, Kang Kang, returned after being on a personal sabbatical in the Arizona desert for the past 6 months. Talk about timing… after surviving a night of endless fireworks and two California earthquakes, he’s officially happy to be back over at CultiVitae HQ! 🙂 You just might see him make a few guest appearances in our future livestreams inside the Cultivate Your Career Facebook Group.
9 Powerful Questions to Ask Yourself Every Year About Your Career
My 4th of July weekend can be described as excitingly productive!
Happily Hired Formula Day 1 Breakthroughs
The Happily Hired Formula July cohort kicked off and I was so happy to see 30+ jobseekers on our first group coaching call where I showed examples of what top candidates looked like and were doing compared to the 99% of candidates out there.
Many Cultivators told me it was incredibly helpful and insightful – and they recognize now what they were doing wrong this entire time and it was no wonder they weren’t getting interviews and offers!
After seeing their great breakthroughs, I immediately woke up the next morning feeling energized to map out the rest of my year to deliver the most helpful resources and tools for you, too!
Side note: I really appreciate all of your support just by reading this blog post. Thank you! 🙂
Mid-Year Check-In: Where are you headed?
Now that we’ve officially hit the midpoint of 2019, I want to provide some helpful journaling prompts so that you, too, can make the most out of this year.
Successful people ask better questions,
Tony Robbins
and as a result, they get better answers.
It’s so important to ask ourselves solution focused questions because that’s the only way we’ll be able to actualize what we really want. Have fun with this exercise… go somewhere with just your pen and paper… somewhere uplifting! (I wrote my answers out poolside in true California fashion). 🙂
Here are the powerful questions to reflect on:
1. What am I proud of so far this year? (Quantify where possible in case you want to update that resume of yours!)
2. What do I want to create more of in my life and career?
3. What do I need to let go of or reduce in my life and career?
4. What would this allow more space and energy for?
5. Brainstorm a list of the things that excite me and WHY.
6. What patterns are you identifying or what do you want to create with this?
7. When did I feel completely alive this year?
8. What or who inspires me at this moment and WHY?
9. What goals do I feel really excited about in this very moment?
After spending an afternoon pondering these questions, I have so many creative juices flowing. In the very near future, you are probably going to see my career advice everywhere – or hear it. 😉 I’ll tell you more once things start to materialize but, for now, just know I am fired up to deliver you the most helpful resources and workshops so you can continue to conquer your career!
ALSO, I know many of you told me that you really want to work together but at this time my programs are a bit out of your budget. I took your feedback and during my visioning exercise above, created new programs and coaching options that are budget friendly for those of you that are groaning at bills every month!
If you really want job search support and would like to discuss the new options, I’d like to invite you to schedule a free 45-minute dream job assessment call. On this call, I want to learn more about your current situation and your goals. I can then share what I believe to be the best options that can get your career launching in the right direction.
I can’t wait to support you in massive ways.
Whether you’re looking for a new amazing job or want to improve your current workplace situation… I’ve got you covered! 🙂
All My Best,
Emily
